Who needs stages and venues to play shows? No, trams are where it's at, and Paul Dempsey and Alex Lahey know it. The two rockers are taking to your fave tram line to rock Tram Jam this year, as part of the long list of festivities for Melbourne Music Week.

No word yet on what time and which tram route the Something For Kate frontman and indie rock shining star will be pulling out their guitars mid-commute, but it'll be on Tuesday, 15 November.

Tram Jam this year is sponsored by Qantas, with the airline's Head Of Digital and Entertainment Kristin Carlos stating, "Qantas is honoured to support Australia’s home grown musicians and the Australian music scene through such an innovative and exciting project like Tram Sessions."

Melbourne Music Week takes place from 11 to 19 November.
