British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean will make her ARIA Awards debut this November. Today, she’s been announced as the first performer for this year’s award ceremony.

Olivia Dean is a Mercury Prize-nominated artist. She heads back to Australia in support of her just-released new album, The Art Of Loving. It’s the follow-up to her debut album Messy, released in 2023, which reached #4 in the UK and #10 in Scotland.

From November 2019 to September 2023, Dean released five EPs: Ok Love You Bye, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?, Olivia Dean If You Know What I Mean, Growth, and Ladies Room, and grew her neo-soul sound.

On Thursday, 20 November, she’ll perform a one-off, exclusive gig titled An Evening At The Fleet Steps in Mrs Macquaries Point, Sydney, making her the perfect performer for this year’s ARIA Awards, taking place the night before on Wednesday, 19 November, at the Hordern Pavilion.

“I love Australia and I’m so excited to perform at the 2025 ARIA Awards,” Dean commented in a press release. “This will be my first time at the awards ceremony; it’s going to be lots of fun!”
