Okay Kaya has today shared her new single and video, Inside Of A Plum.

The track inspired by ketamine therapy and is taken from her upcoming world-building album SAP which releases on the 4th of November.

The video is a trippy and psychedelic insight into Kaya's world, one that perfectly moulds her world building abilities and distinct sonic imprint. It features gorgeous vocal melodies and a swinging, soulful beat driven by a plucked bass line.

"The doctor said ketamine treatment could interrupt behavioural patterns by growing new literal physical branches in your brain, providing cognitive flexibility,” Kaya explains.

"My doctor described the brain as a snow globe and the treatment as a fresh layer of snow enabling new slopes. Mood-riding.”

The video was created in collaboration with visual artist Austin Lee and was put together by feeding thousands of images and text into AI image generation platform DALL-E 2. The images that the AI generator spit out were then once again changed through the system to create an even trippier insight.

“I wanted to explore what it would be like to be the ripple, move through. Whether it's mundane objects, zoomed in on the natural or magical imagery and shapes,” Kaya expounds.

SAP was written, engineered and produced solely by Kaya and is a concept record focussing on the consciousness in which Okay Kaya focuses on abstraction, wit and what happens to her mind when unaccompanied.
