Spotify have launched a new in-app experience, similar to their viral 'Wrapped' series at the end of every year. This one's called 'Only You' and it creates personalised playlists that celebrate the uniqueness of how millions of users listen. It draws from personal listening habits to reveal tailored audio journeys based on a whole heap of unique factors. Here's the low down on what each feature means before it clogs your timelines and Instagram stories.

The Audio Birth Chart combines the listeners top artist they've listened to over the previous six months,  an artist they listen to that best shows their emotional or vulnerable side and an artist they’ve recently connected with depicted by their Sun, Moon and Rising artists respectively.

Users can select their Dream Dinner Party of three artists, which then Spotify curates a personalised Spotify Mix for each artist to set the mood. Artist Pairs is a feature that combines unique audio pairings that they’ve listened to recently, showing their range of listening interests. Song Year highlights how people highlights how the users taste has changed over time, and Time of Day showcases the variations in listening patterns whether early in the morning or late at night.

As a part of the campaign, Spotify will also be rolling out a new personalised feature called Blend. Currently in beta, Blend is a new way for two friends to merge their musical tastes into one curated playlist made just for them. Updated daily, listeners can simply invite a friend to blend with - as long as they have a Spotify Free or Premium plan - and Blend will grow with each user over time based on how their listening changes.

From the 'Only You' campaign, the streaming service also revealed some interesting data about the use of the platform. Cancer’s top the list with the most user generation playlists, over 12 million for the emotional crabs.

Australian’s are not looking for soothing sounds at their dinner parties with Rock the most popular genre added to user generated dinner party playlists followed by Pop.

The Kid Laroi’s song 'WITHOUT YOU', topped across user’s most listened to songs in 2021 from Gen Z to Baby Boomers.
