Last week Network Ten announced a new weekly comedy based on hit British panel show A League Of Their Own, to be hosted by Tommy Little.

Now theMusic.com.au can confirm that another new comedy project at Ten called This Week Live, will also involve Little and feature live music performances.

Other comedians earmarked for regular roles on this new show include Dave Thornton, Meshel Laurie and Tom Gleeson.

Producers of the new weekly program are currently scouring for guests to perform in the show's closing musical spot - believed to be planned as stripped-down, acoustic performances.

Set to be filmed in Ten's Melbourne studios it is pencilled in to be launched on Wednesday 24 July. Producer Craig Campbell once helmed Rove Live - the last major bastion of commercial TV's prime time, live music performance.
