Following their record breaking crowdfunding campaign in 2014, locals Ne Obliviscaris have launched a new online membership campaign, which is created to help support the band with touring and associated musical costs.
Currently on tour in the US, the group announced Patreon, the new membership avenue, which attempts to remedy the often high costs of touring.
"When the system doesn't work in your favour, come up with a new system. Please watch this video, check out the link and a huge thank you in advance to everyone that supports what we feel could be a new way forward in the music industry. Extremely excited for the future," violinist/singer Tim Charles comments.
The campaign is another novel option for the band following the aforementioned crowdfunding success. On the campaign's homepage, Ne Obliviscaris outline the creation is a result of the harsh realities of touring.

"A few weeks ago we started our USA tour with $36AUD in the bank and about $25,000 in debt due to the massive up front costs of international touring, plus some unpaid bills from our European tour in Oct/Nov.
"If this current tour is a success we can get some of that money back, but we are treading an extremely fine line now between giving ourselves the best opportunity to tour and make new fans, and going broke," the band writes.
