NBA Warns Drake About ‘Bad Language’ Following Incident With Player

If you’re trying to define true love, look no further than US rapper Drake’s passion for his hometown NBA team, the Raptors.

He’s become the face of the team and a source of courtside inspiration at home games over the years, so it’s not surprising he shared heated words with an opposing player recently.

ICYMI, Drake and Cleveland Cavaliers player Kendrick Perkins clashed numerous times during Game 1 of the teams' playoff series, with ESPN now reporting the NBA has issued a warning to the rapper about his "use of bad language" during the exchanges.

NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki Vandeweghe is said to have had a word with Raptors president Masai Ujiri about the incident.

"At the end of the day, it isn't about Perk versus Drake; that doesn't even sound right,” Perkins told ESPN of the warning.

“It's the Cleveland Cavaliers versus the Toronto Raptors. Besides, what could he possibly do to me?

“I mean, really. If he leaves me alone, I'll leave him alone, and that's all there is."

The heated exchanged was reportedly ignited when Perkins began talking trash to Raptors’ Serge Ibaka, which Drake overhead and “butted in” on.
