Archie Roach, Thelma Plum Lead 2020 National Indigenous Music Awards Performers

A star-studded list of performers have been announced for this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards.

With just under two weeks to go until the ceremony takes place, organisers have confirmed that nominated artists Archie Roach, Thelma Plum, Miiesha and more will perform during the live-streamed event on August 8.

There will also be a special tribute to Warumpi Band, with Neil Murray, Christine AnuMau Power, Jim Moginie and Rob Hirst performing My Island Home.

Viewers will also be able to catch performances from Jessica Mauboy, Mitch Tambo, Electric Fields, Emma Donovan, Mambali and JK-47.

"What makes this year so exciting, is that we are able to involve and showcase many more of our First Nation artists and musicians through the virtual platform. Also to be able to connect regionally and remotely is extremely exciting," NIMAs Creative Director Ben Graetz said.

The awards will kick off at 7pm AEST on August 8 and you can tune in via NITV, Double J, National Indigenous Radio Service, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
