Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons are a Welsh heavy metal band established in 2016. Campbell started the band following the disbandment of Motörhead and the passing of the band’s founder and lead singer, Lemmy.

Lemmy died at the age of 70 in December 2015 following a “short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer.” The metal icon had been suffering from a number of well-publicised health issues and had been fitted with an implantable defibrillator to correct an irregular heartbeat.

Since the early days, Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons have received support from fellow acts in rock and metal, having opened for Guns N’ Roses and Aussie rockers Airbourne. In 2021, the band parted ways with vocalist Neil Starr (of Attack! Attack! fame) before welcoming Peters in 2022.
