Plenty more acts have been announced for the October festival.
Another swag of acts have been announced for this year's Melbourne Festival, as the event announces the program for the Festival Hub, which features an intimate theatre space, a rooftop terrace, an under-tunnel bar and an outdoor kitchen under the Princes Bridge on the banks of the Yarra.
The biggest act that will grace the hub this year is none other than Culture Club frontman and '80s poster boy Boy George, who will jet in to lay down a DJ set alongside the very talented Marc Vedo on Friday 12 October and, the following day, will appear for the Life, Art and Leigh Bowery: In Conversation With Boy George event, which will see him paying tribute to avant garde icon Leigh Bowery alongside Paul Capsis and La Gateau Chocolate.
Here's a taste of Leigh Bowery's work, this NSFW clip shows him fronting his band Minty. The song starts from the 20 second mark.

Paul Capsis will also be performing in a separate ticketed event, as will a cavalcade of great artists including Eddie Perfect, Lanie Lane, Club Soirée, Sophie Brous, Prince's good mate DJ Rashida from LA, New Yorkers Sxip Shirley and Project Jenny, Project Jan, Australian theatre company C!RCA and Belgian clowning duo Okidok. There is also set to be a whole heap of free live music taking place late at night with the likes of Bombay Royale, Flap!, The Trons, Simone Page Jones and Miles O'Neil, Uncle Barnie and the Ringside: Artists in Conversation program.
As well as this is a screening of the mysterious musical short that is Andy X, something of an exploration into the life of Andy Warhol.

A very intriguing piece by Sxip Shirley:

You can go to the Hub from 7am until late every day of the festival, which runs from Thursday 10 October through to Saturday 27. Tickets for the ticketed events are available through Ticketmaster from Monday 10 September.
