Melburnian dance duo SCNDL are set to be announced as the headline act on the forthcoming Club MTV national tour, hitting clubs around the country from mid-January, theMusic.com.au can reveal.
Traditionally a UK-based club-night party, Club MTV is making its inaugural journey to the antipodes this summer, bringing VJ Krit along for the ride as compere when things get under way at Platinum, on the Gold Coast, on Saturday, January 17, before heading to dancefloors in Newcastle, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. The Club MTV Australian tour wraps up a little more than a month later way up in tropical tourism hub Cairns, at stalwart venue Gilligans.
If you feel like SCNDL may have passed you by until now, that's not entirely your fault (although, really? Dudes have nearly 100,000 Facebook likes; where've you been?) — the pair, consisting of Tom Grant and Adam Amuso, have spent a fair bit of time abroad this year, performing at Miami's Winter Music Conference earlier this year as well as completing a 13-date run across the States and Canada. They've been back in the region for a few months now, though, playing shows all around the place and even appearing on the current Stereosonic tour.
