Spice Girl and pop/dance icon Melanie C will return to Australia later this year, not only as a judge on The Voice but also to tour across the country.

The I Turn To You star will perform four exclusive headline dates across the country this November. The Australian shows will find Melanie C playing in some of Australia’s most loved theatres, delivering an electrifying live show in support of her forthcoming ninth album, Sweat, plus the hits.

The tour begins at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday, 11 November. It continues at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday, 13 November, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Saturday, 14 November, and concludes at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday, 15 November.

Melanie C’s new album, Sweat, is scheduled for release on Friday, 1 May, via Virgin Music Group. The record marks her most euphoric and dancefloor-inspired collection to date, celebrating joy, movement and community while revisiting her early ‘90s rave days.

Sweat was recorded across London, Stockholm, and Los Angeles and combines every facet of Melanie C’s presence as a performer: a singer, pop star, athlete, DJ, and lifelong fan of dance music, into a cohesive body of art.

Melanie C said of the record, “Music gets me through tough moments - I’m proud to bring out a joyful record in a dark time.”

You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

Last February, Melanie C joined forces with Australian electronic music mainstay Anna Lunoe for the anthemic, club-ready song, Girl

“People say never to meet your idols, but getting to meet Mel backstage at Coachella in 2024 and subsequently becoming friends was one of my favourite moments of last year,” Lunoe said.

“It’s been so amazing to get to know the wonderful person behind the icon, and this song found its home with Mel's incredible vocal tone and heart! Is this actually happening? Ahh!”

Melanie C shared the sentiment, stating that she and Lunoe had become “great friends” since their first meeting. “We have so much in common, our love of music, being mums and dancing our asses off. I’m super excited to be collaborating on ‘Girl’, it’s a banger!”

Aside from performing as part of ABC’s New Year’s Eve celebration, Melanie C last toured Australia in April and May 2024. She also headlined that year’s LGBTQIA+ street festival, Big Gay Day, alongside Sneaky Sound System and Tall Paul in Brisbane.
