Meg Mac Scores Highest Local Debut On This Week’s ARIA Charts With 'Hope'

A great week for local music.

More Meg Mac Meg Mac

Aussie singer-songwriter Meg Mac has cracked the ARIA Albums chart top 10 with her second LP, Hope.

The seven-track offering has debuted at #9, while The Music's June cover stars Polish Club land at #20 with their second album, Iguana, in the midst of a national tour in support.

The Music reviewer Carley Hall said Hope "highlights [Meg Mac’s] undeniable talent as a vocal powerhouse and lyricist."

The local love doesn’t end there, with Perth rockers Psychedelic Porn Crumpets debuting at #31 with their third album, And Now For The Whatchamacallit.

Meanwhile, Jonas Brothers' Happiness Begins and Avicii's posthumous TIM have debuted at #3 and #6 respectively as Tyga's Legendary (#12) and Motionless In White’s Disguise (#32) also debut.

After breaking a massive record last week, Jimmy Barnes' My Criminal Record LP now sits at #2 on the Albums chart.

Over on the Singles chart, Chris Brown and Drake’s No Guidance enters at #17, while new music from Avicii, Tyga, BTS & Charli XCX also debuts.
