Luke O'Shea, Kasey Chambers and bush balladeer Dean Perrett have cleaned up at country music's night of nights in Tamworth this year.
A feature event of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Country Music Awards Of Australia — the Golden Guitars — took place at Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre.
The night's big achiever was Luke O'Shea, who picked up three awards including the Heritage Song Of The Year — a category his won for the past three successive years. He's now won six in total.
Kasey Chambers takes her tally to 22 with wins in the album and single categories for Bittersweet while Dean Perrett took home the bush balled and vocal collaboration (with Troy Cassar-Daley) nods.
The video clip of the year award may as well be named after Duncan Toombs after he won it again with his creation for Sara Storer's Canoe. Toombs plays guitar in the Adam Eckersley Band, which took out the best young talent as well.
The McClymonts picked up Best Group or Duo on the night, having already been awarded the top selling album of the year award for Here's To You & I.
The largest music festival in Australia, it is estimated that 55,000 people attend the ten-day-long event, doubling the New South Wales town's population.
