American heavy metal legends Killswitch Engage return to Australia and New Zealand this month, with dates extending into November, and they’ve officially announced the local supports joining them and British metalcore icons Sylosis on tour.

New Zealand’s atmospheric, groove-heavy band Pull Down the Sun will open the band’s Auckland and Wellington dates, while five-piece alt-rock/metal band New Way Home will open the sold-out second Auckland show.

In Australia, Sydney-based four-piece modern metalcore favourites Heists will open all shows, playing in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, two nights in Melbourne – one sold out – Adelaide, and Fremantle.

With dates in Auckland, Wellington, and Melbourne sold out months in advance, tickets are moving fast for remaining dates. Low tickets remain for Sydney, Wollongong and Perth, while shows in Brisbane, Newcastle, Melbourne (night two), and Adelaide are selling fast.

This tour marks the first time Killswitch Engage have played in Australia and New Zealand since September 2024, when they opened shows for Iron Maiden, and their first headline tour Down Under since 2018.

Killswitch Engage’s most recent album, This Consequence, was released last February, marking their first release since 2019’s Atonement. The record features the hit single I Believe, the band’s first song to reach the Top 10 of the US Mainstream Rock chart, peaking at #4.

Meanwhile, Sylosis made their Australian debut at Soundwave back in 2013 and didn’t return until last year, when they embarked on their first-ever headline tour of the country. Their latest album, The New Flesh, was released in February of this year.
