Earlier this month, tour promoters Destroy All Lines announced the line-up for the 2025 edition of the emo, alternative rock, punk, grunge, and hardcore-focused music festival New Bloom Fest.
Led by British emo group Basement and the recently reformed hypnotic hard rockers Balance And Composure, tickets for next year’s event are selling fast. The first release tickets are sold out in all cities.
In addition to Basement and Balance And Composure, organisers have locked in the following international acts: California hardcore punks Drain, Pennsylvania-based melodic rock group One Step Closer, emerging alt-rockers Sweet Pill and post-hardcore outfit Glitterer (the latter pair making their Australian debuts).
Yesterday, New Bloom Fest organisers raised the hype even more by announcing the stacked list of local openers joining the forthcoming event.
In Brisbane, the festival has locked in Primitive Blast, The Others, Colourblind, Deadshowws, Wifecult, and Masochist, all of whom will open proceedings at the Fortitude Music Hall on Saturday, 8 March.
In Sydney, Secret World, Gloam, and Feel The Pain will open the show at the Roundhouse on Sunday, 9 March. Lastly, Melbourne secured the bands Horsepower, Wayside, and Crawling on Monday, 10 March (Labour Day public holiday).

On Instagram, Wayside expressed their excitement about joining the bill by sharing that the band “straight up would not be a thing” without Balance And Composure and Basement.
They wrote, “woweeee. beyond stoked to be playing @newbloomfestival // wayside straight up would not be a thing without @balanceandcomposure and @basementuk // grab a ticket while you can, you know where the link is.”
Colourblind added that they’re “so excited” to be playing at the festival, and they’re “pinching” themselves at being on the bill. Wifecult stated that they “can’t wait to open up this pit” for some of their all-time favourite bands, and Masochist said they’re “so blown away” to be part of “this huge and incredible event.”
Tickets are on sale now via the New Bloom Fest website.
