The event marks Basement's first shows in Australia in six years and Balance And Composure's first stops down under in eight years.

New Bloom Fest needed to maintain the hype after gathering the likes of Citizen, Touché Amoré, and Movements for its inaugural events earlier this year.
For next year’s event, New Bloom Fest is coming out swinging, with the emo-adjacent alt-rock festival locking in British brooding rockers Basement as headliners.
Also on the bill is the hypnotic American rock band Balance And Composure – who released their highly anticipated comeback album, With You In Spirit, this year – California hardcore punks Drain, Pennsylvania-based melodic rock group One Step Closer, emerging alt-rockers Sweet Pill and post-hardcore outfit Glitterer (the latter pair making their Australian debuts).
According to a press release, this is only the first artist announcement – hold tight, as a second artist announcement packed with local acts opening the festivities in each respective city will be revealed soon.
Basement last toured Australia in April 2019, while Balance And Composure last performed down under in March 2017. One Step Closer made their Australian debut in February 2023, and Drain have become a favourite down under, opening for Comeback Kid last January and returning in December 2023.
