"We will DEFINITELY continue to work with each other"
Sydney pop-rock four-piece Little Sea have announced that they are breaking up amicably after just under three years as a band.
Fans shouldn't be too quick to get sad about it, though, with the members expressing their desire to continue working together "in different capacities" as they navigate their landscape in the wake of Little Sea, over which the decision to split was made "with heavy granite hearts".
"This was not an easy decision, trust us, but we are doing this so that we can all continue moving forward to pursue our individual art forms and personal goals," the band wrote in a joint social media statement. "There is no negativity amongst us, all four of us are still close mates and we will DEFINITELY continue to work with each other in different capacities in the future."
The band went on to acknowledge several individuals and organisations that have helped them over their career, including manager Luke Girgis and the teams at Universal Publishing, Sony Music and Harbour Agency, but "most importantly … our fans".

"Without you guys we wouldn't have been able to travel the world and play sold-out shows all around Australia time and time again," Little Sea wrote.
"From getting to our shows at 6 in the morning and waiting all day in the blistering sun to then screaming your lungs out and dancing your legs off as we performed for you. The piles and piles of heart-on-sleeve letters written personally for us and the artworks created of us, which we'll treasure till the day we die. All the blood, sweat and tears you put into supporting us we never thought in our utmost dreams would be a reality and we are so goddamn lucky to have fans like you guys."
Having first come together in late 2013, Little Sea emerged the following year with debut EP Wake The Sun, which yielded two successful singles for the nascent outfit in Thank You and The Lucky Ones. They capitalised on that early momentum to land a national support slot for international pop titans 5 Seconds Of Summer (as well as joining the 2015 Amplify tour) followed that release with last year's With You Without You extended player, itself bearing top-50-charting single Change For Love.
The band most recently released their third EP, On Loop, which came out independently on 16 September. You can pick it up to commemorate the band's career now.
