The singer-songwriter reinterprets some of her earliest material on Meet The Misses.
With the release of her seventh and rather significant solo album, Lisa Miller feels she can finally let go of the anger that has haunted her for the past 15 years. Meet The Misses, which is due for release on Friday 9 November, has finally allowed Miller to claim ownership of her past, through the new interpretation of the songs from her first two albums -1996's Quiet Girl With A Credit Card and 1999's As Far As Life Goes - which she has never been able to obtain the rights to.
Meet The Misses is her most emotional and raw release to date, predominantly featuring Lisa's irresistibly, “smoky, four-in-the-morning voice” and Shane O'Mara's (Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, Stephen Cummings) considerable guitar skills.
In her new found liberation, Lisa has announced her Meet The Misses tour to coincide with the album release. She will be joined by a four-piece travelling band, making appearances in Melbourne, Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Adelaide, with more to be announced.
