Lime Cordiale recently wrapped up an arena tour across the country with Ball Park Music, but that doesn’t mean they’re done being creative.
This week, the Aussie indie rock group revealed their plans to release an expansive coffee table book called Hard To Define.
Featuring over 300 pages of Lime Cordiale across their 15-year career, including artworks from singer Louis Leimbach, photos of studio time, holidays, and music videos, “gear, props and nicknacks,” letters from his and Oli’s parents, and “some of the most important people” the band have ever worked with, the book is a unique new project from Lime Cordiale.
The book was made in collaboration with photographer Tim Swallow, who’s been following and photographing the band for most of their career. According to Lime Cordiale, Swallow realised “there was just waaaay too much unseen gold out there,” so Hard To Define was born.
Lime Cordiale will host a book launch at Sydney’s Blender Gallery on Wednesday, 13 November, to celebrate the book's release. The band will be there, offering up beers and burritos.

Earlier this month, Lime Cordiale announced that their drummer of 16 years, James Mounsey-Jennings, had departed the band to focus on his life in London.
While it’s sad news, Lime Cordiale balanced it out by sharing hilarious photos taken with Mounsey-Jennings throughout their 16 years of touring the globe.
Mounsey-Jennings said, “Just a little life update… I’m going to be taking a break from playing and touring with Lime Cordiale.
“I’m going to be focusing on my own career, goals and life here in London. It has been a crazy wonderful 16 years from playing to just our parents and friends to thousands in Australia and around the world. I wish the team the best for the upcoming shows & tours! Lots of love.”
In July, Lime Cordiale released their long-awaited third album, Enough Of The Sweet Talk. The album announcement arrived after the band revealed tour plans with Ball Park Music – in which the tour promotion involved a fake beef – that took place across the country last month.
Following the release of Enough Of The Sweet Talk, Lime Cordiale debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart – the first Australian artist to do so in 2024 (by August of this year).
