More Regurgitator More Regurgitator

Regurgitator will no longer appear on the Untamed Festival line-up, and according to the band and a recent report from the Broome Advertiser, the inaugural event has been postponed to 2026.

The festival was set to take place across three days this September – Friday, 19 to Sunday, 21 September – and led by headliners Ash Grunwald, Spiderbait, and Drapht. The inaugural event would have taken place in Broome, Western Australia, and will reportedly take place next year, minus Regurgitator.

In a statement posted to social media, Regurgitator claimed that they’d been “dropped” from the festival, and hadn’t received further information about their falling off the line-up – they would have performed on the same day as Spiderbait.

“Bye bye Broome. We have been CUT,” Regurgitator wrote on Instagram. “Must have been too tame for the UNTAMED... ha! Anyway, sincere apologies for all that were attending Untamed in Broome, but we have been dropped from the lineup.”

They continued, “I guess if you were making the trek all the way just to see Regurgitator play, then best reach out to the promoter regarding refunds. No info supplied this end on what this all entails in that regard. Apologies to all fans. Otherwise, we play Mayberry in Darwin on FRI 14 NOV.”

Regurgitator and the Broome Advertiser shared statements from the festival promoters that said the festival had been postponed and will now take place in 2026.

As the publication reports, the festival will happen at the Roebuck Bay Hotel next year, with a scaled-back version of the line-up after “unexpected delays” led to the rescheduling.

“While we share the ticket holders’ and community’s disappointment that the full-scale festival is postponed to 2026, unexpected delays meant we needed to make a quick decision in the best interest of our attendees and partners,” Untamed festival organisers said, per the Broome Advertiser.

The publication also noted that the 2026 festival – now named Untamed Uncut – will feature a smaller line-up. Regurgitator aren’t the only ones who have been pulled - the 2026 event is set to star headliners Spiderbait and Ash Grunwald, plus Pierce Brothers, Abbe May, Legs Electric, Jaime Jacket Reinvented, Havana Brown, and Tigerlily.

The Music has reached out to Untamed Festival organisers for comment about the changes.

Festival organisers promise “big and bold ambitions” for the 2026 event and concluded, “We sincerely thank everyone for their support, confidence and ongoing belief in what Untamed stands for — delivering epic music, cultural connection and unforgettable live experiences.”

Ticketholders have been notified of the changes.
