Considering that the Victorian band hasn't played a show in over a year and hasn't had any new music, save for the most recent "breakup" single 'Left For Dead' (found below), I'm sure some have seen the writing on the wall. The last release this band had to their name was their 2014 EP 'Real Life', which was a pretty solid mosh affair. I also distinctly remember 'Overflow' being pretty good, too.
In any case, you can read a full statement from the band below, stating that they will release one final song in the near future, 'Where Do You Belong' before calling it a day. The band's "loss of momentum we faced while searching for the right personal to complete the line-up" is cited as the key decision for ending the band.
"Left For Wolves2009 - 2016
Left For Wolves has come to an end.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the band over the years in any way, shape or form. There are too many to name but you all really added to the time that we had as a band and we wouldn't have had as much fun without you.We had some of the best times of our lives taking the music that we believed in around Australia. Despite the many hurdles we faced, the band achieved a number of our goals and at times ventured beyond expectations. The excitement of being in a hard working band, over coming trial after trial created unique personal bonds and carries memories that wont soon be forgotten.
Ultimately our final decision to disband came from the loss of momentum we faced while searching for the right personal to complete the line-up.
Regardless of the upsetting part of ending a "Good Thing", we are looking forward to putting out some new music as we go.
We will be releasing one more song via Youtube called "Where Do You Belong?" and then call it a day.
Once again, thank you to anyone who was a part of our journey, we had a blast!
Peace.
LFW - 2016"
Now, while I get that the message behind 'Left For Dead', and subsequently the band, is one of hope and determination, I do find it rather ironic that the line "Never back down, never give in" is mentioned in a song about the band announcing their breakup. But look, I'm being picky, really. Bummed to see these dudes go.
