Laneway Festival Tickets In Sydney & Melbourne Sell Out In Under An Hour

Demand for next year’s Laneway Festival has been tremendous in all cities, but in Melbourne and Sydney, it’s been extraordinary.

The two cities were the first to have pre-sale allocation sell out yesterday, and today, the general sale sold out in under an hour – in “less time than Chappell Roan will spend commanding the stage.”

Tickets being snapped up so quickly, especially in Sydney and Melbourne, has now happened for the second year in a row, and for the second time in Laneway Festival’s history.

Due to phenomenal demand and tickets selling out in record time in Melbourne and Sydney, Laneway Festival organisers advise punters to get in quickly and secure tickets for the remaining cities. A limited number of tickets are available for Auckland, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, and Perth.

The 2026 Laneway Festival is headlined by global pop sensation Chappell Roan, who will deliver a 90-minute “gothic fairytale spectacle.”

The live music tastemaker has also locked in Mercury Prize-winners Wolf Alice, PinkPantheress, Wet Leg, Role Model, Yung Lean & bladee, Lucy Dacus, Alex G, BENEE, Mt. Joy, The Dare, and more international acts, with local acts such as Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, The Belair Lip Bombs, Blusher, Shady Nasty, and more set to perform.

This year’s festival, headlined by Charli XCX and featuring names such as Clairo, beabadoobee, BICEP, and stacks more, sold out almost immediately as the events had “received more registrations than available pre-sale tickets.”

Laneway 2025 was attended by 200,000 music fans across sold-out dates in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, becoming the most successful event in the festival’s 20-year history. 40,000 punters also attended the Laneway Festival sideshows.
