Kylie MinogueIf one ever needed proof that Kylie Minogue is an iconic figure, one only need to look toward her newly-minted status as the first Australian act to join Barbie’s Music Series.
Back in 2024, Minogue was honoured by the global doll manufacturer, being immortalised as a Barbie Role Model for that year’s International Women’s Day celebrations.
Alongside the likes of Shania Twain, actresses Helen Mirren and Viola Davis, and more, it was a fitting tribute for the world-beating Melbourne musician. “Baby Kylie would NOT believe this is happening right now,” she said in response to the tribute.
Fast-forward two years, and this one-off tribute has now spawned into a global release, with Minogue officially joining Barbie’s Music Series.
The series sees legendary musicians immortalised as their own Barbie dolls, with the likes of Gloria Estefan, Tina Turner, Stevie Nicks, and more all being turned into Signature Collector Dolls.

Now, Minogue has joined these lofty ranks, with her status as the highest-selling Australian female artist of all time seeing her turned into a soon-to-be iconic doll.
“Seeing this doll come to life has been really special,” Minogue said in a statement. “The response to the one-of-akind Barbie Role Model was overwhelming, so I was excited to team up with Mattel again, and I can’t wait to see Kylie Barbie out in the wild!”
Like the initial 2024 one-off, the doll is inspired by Minogue's Padam Padam look, capturing her in the stunning red outfit that is emblematic of her Tension era the massive global tour that followed.
“Connection has always been at the heart of everything I do, and sharing the joy and fun of the Tension era with people across the globe has been an incredible experience,” Minogue added.
“From the spark of Padam Padam through to the Tension albums and world tour, this Barbie feels like a perfect snapshot of that time.”
The doll is now available in Australia for an RRP of $109.99 via the Mattel shop and major retailers.
