Busby Marou, Tia Gostelow Manager Takes Out Prestigious Industry Award

31 May 2021 | 11:38 am | Staff Writer

"This is a really lovely award to be recognised for."

The annual APRA AMCOS Lighthouse Award was awarded today to Kadence Group and Lovely Records director, Kristy Gostelow

Presented in recognition of female-identifying and non-binary managers within the Australian music industry, Gostelow has represented an illustrious clientele including Busby Marou, Colin Lillie, Aodhan and her own daughter, Tia Gostelow.

The award, which includes a $5,000 grant, is given in dedication to the late Linda Gebar, a prolific member of the industry who passed away in 2008 after working closely with acts like The Killjoys, Frente, The Blackeyed Susans and more, as well as venue Punters Club, PBS FM and APRA AMCOS.

"Being selected as the 2021 Lighthouse Award recipient and to be associated with Linda Gebar and the incredible recipients over the years is such an honour. Also, a little overwhelming but I am incredibly grateful,” Gostelow said.

“As an artist manager, I’m always happy to stay under the radar and revel in the success of my artists, so this is a really lovely award to be recognised for.

"I’m looking forward to using the award towards expanding my knowledge and business, that will in turn have a positive impact on both my roster and the wider music community.
