The NZ veterans will also be releasing their first new album since 2010 this year
Veteran New Zealand roots-rockers Katchafire are celebrating 20 years of activity this year, and they'll be bringing the party our way for their massive The Legacy national tour.
Following the band's latest jaunt to the United States — where they've already been once this year, as well as hosting a bunch of sold-out shows in their home country — Katchafire will kick off their epic Aussie run at Airlie Beach's Magnums Hotel on Thursday 7 September, tearing through the regional Qld locales of Townsville, Kuranda and Cairns over the ensuing days.
A few days later, they're down in Newcastle, before taking on Sydney, Rooty Hill and Gosford, then it's to Narrabeen, Melbourne, Chelsea Heights, and Hoppers Crossing.
From there, they move on to Gosnells, Duncraig, Fremantle and Dunsborough, then back east to round out the run through Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

Katchafire have conscripted a varied bunch of support acts for their tour, with appearances throughout from the likes of The Sea Gypsies, fellow Kiwi Ria Hall, The Hanlon Brothers, and DJs Red and Tickelz.
The band aren't only looking backwards in 2017, however; although these shows are very much a celebration of their two decades to date, they'll also be putting out a new studio full-length album this year — their first since 2010's On The Road Again, not counting their 2013 best-of compilation.
Tickets for Katchafire's upcoming The Legacy tour will go on sale from this coming Thursday, 29 June, via the band's website and Oztix.
