Exclusive Look At Karnivool DVD; New Shows For Tour [UPDATED: Canberra cancelled]

Returning Perth rockers Karnivool have announced three new shows for their upcoming national tour, theMusic.com.au can reveal, and the band have unveiled a look into their forthcoming DVD with the news.

The band have announced a Canberra show for fans in the capitol city who would have otherwise missed out and with the first Sydney show at The Hi-Fi close to selling out, a second show has been added there for the following day.

Always destined to do well in their hometown, a third show at Perth's Rosemount has been announced while all three of Melbourne's The Hi-Fi shows have sold out and that's all she wrote there.

Fans will know that the band have been working on a DVD and after five years of compiling footage the release does in fact exist and is currently being edited, by the band themselves, into the finished product.

They've released a short trailer, so you can finally view some of it below:

Supports for the tour are Victorian desert rockers Redcoats and Sydney's post-rock favourites Sleepmakeswaves.

UPDATE: Canberra's Greenroom has cancelled all upcoming gigs, forcing the band to cancel their planned visit. They will be playing the New South Wales Central Coast though, at the Entrance Leagues Club, Bateau Bay.

A statement from the band reads, "Unfortunately we were advised today that the Greenroom in Canberra has cancelled all upcoming gigs. Sorry to disappoint Canberra fans, but it wasn't possible to reschedule another Canberra show.

"Fans who have already bought tickets will be contacted by OzTix to arrange a refund. Karnivool will now be playing the Entrance Leagues Club, Bateau Bay on the NSW Central Coast on Wednesday 11 July. Tickets available from OzTix.com.au."
