Queens Of The Stone Age singer Josh Homme revealed that he was dealing with a cancer diagnosis back in June. This week, in an interview with ITV News, the musician shared that he was given the “all clear” from cancer.

Earlier this year, Homme told Revolver that he was diagnosed with cancer last year, but he didn't get into too many details. However, he did inform the publication that he underwent a successful surgery to remove it, and he's still recovering.

“Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know,” he said. “I’m extremely thankful that I’ll get through this, and I’ll look back at this as something that’s fucked up — but will have made me better. I’m cool with that.

“There’s a lot of stuff I want to do. And there’s a lot of people I want to do that with.”

When he was asked about where he’s at with his cancer treatment on ITV News, Homme responded, “I'm good. I'm all clear. It's the kids that have made me feel better, you know, whether they're out in the crowd or in my own home, so I feel the best I've felt all year.”

Back in June, Homme referred to the “darkest four years of my life”, referencing his 2019 divorce from Brody Dalle and the death of former bandmate Mark Lanegan and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Queens Of The Stone Age will return to Australia in February 2024 and headline next year’s MONA FOMA Festival and Lookout Festival in Torquay and the Gold Coast. The band also organised all-Australian support acts, including Pond, Gut Health, The Chats, Spiderbait, and Lola Scott.

The tour arrives in support of the latest Queens Of The Stone Age new albumIn Times New Roman… - an album that tracked the end of the world.
