John Farnham And The Seekers To Headline Double Bill

Council festival amps up

More John Farnham John Farnham Profile

Two Australian music icons John Farnham and The Seekers are set to headline a council festival in south east Queensland.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council has booked the two ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees (and previous Australians Of The Year) for their Decades Festival, an event that revives the music, fashion and cars from the ‘50’s through to the ‘90s.

As well as the two superstars, Tim Campbell, The Hi Boys, Erza Lee and Pat Capocci are on the bill.

“The Seekers and John Farnham are music royalty and have provided the soundtrack to most Australian’s lives,” said Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland.

“We are honoured to provide this one-off concert experience right here in the Moreton Bay Region.”

The Seekers’ Athol Guy added, “The Seekers and John both began our careers in the Sixties, and five decades later, we’re all still standing! We’re honoured to include this landmark concert in our ‘Golden Jubilee’ celebration.”

Tickets are on sale 11am today.
