The aftermath of yesterday's wild weather and state-wide blackout in Adelaide continues to unfold, with the state’s official AFL Grand Final event cancelled as venue Botanic Park is deemed unsafe.

The Jimmy Barnes led event was scheduled for this coming Saturday, Oct 1, to coincide with the massive MCG brawl between the Bulldogs and Swans, but organisers had “no choice but to cancel”.

“A lot of people have put in a lot of work to bring this event this far and it is highly regrettable that we’ve had to make this decision,” organiser Phil Rankine said.

The news follows on from Listen Out act A$AP Ferg performing at The Gov last night, with generators brought in and fans braving heavy rain and winds to attend.
