Neo Soul Legend Jill Scott Announced As First Act For Vivid LIVE 2020

Neo soul icon Jill Scott has been announced as the first act on the 2020 Vivid LIVE line-up. 

The Sydney Opera House has today confirmed that the Grammy Award winner will head to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her critically acclaimed debut album, Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol 1, with four special shows.

“In the era of Lizzo, SZA, Rihanna and Solange, Jill Scott’s significance and influence as an artist continues to grow and inspire audiences across generations," Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall said.

"Having hosted Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Mary J Blige, Jill Scott is the last of the original neo soul titans to grace the Sydney Opera House and celebrating the 20th anniversary of her milestone debut exclusively at Vivid LIVE during Vivid Sydney makes her appearance here all the more special."

General public tickets for the concerts go on sale from 9am on Monday 24 February.
