See you next Tuesday
Despite all earlier assertions of smooth sailing from Team Australia Captain Tony Abbott, the Liberal National Party is now officially on the way to a spill, with West Australian MP Luke Simpkins confirming that he has motioned for the issue of leadership to be addressed in the regular party room meeting this Tuesday.
Naturally, the internet has gone into meltdown over the news, a divisive line being drawn as everyone and their dog offers an opinion on the development, some better educated than others, and members of the entertainment community are no exception.
Here are some of the highlights from the nation's performers, comedians and other artists reacting to the now-imminent #LibSpill. Let's get the ball rolling from this painfully on-point tweet from Marieke Hardy, and go from there.
What's great is that the WA MP who called for the spill is an utterly rational and sane human being. pic.twitter.com/ArSnIhGtYB
