ON THE ROAD

Fomer Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper has announced a national tour. The singer-songwriter will be on the road throughout late, April and May. More.

Nu-folk muso Caitlin Park will launch her new single at a handful of headline shows next month and April. The Sydney artist is performing along the east coast. Details.

The Stray Sisters have named another headline show for Melbourne after their initial show in the city sold-out. The duo are comprised of Donna Simpson and Vikki Thorn - former members of The Waifs. Read on.

EYE ON THE CHARTS

Chet Faker has pushed one of his own songs off the top spot in the AIR's singles/EP charts for independent labels with independent distribution chart. His new solo single Talk Is Cheap (Future Classic/Independent) has bumped his collab with Flume - Drop The Game (Future Classic/Independent) down to second.

Debuts this week came from Ball Park Music with She Only Loves Me When I'm There (Stop Start Music/Inertia) and Sticky Fingers latest Gold Snafu (Sureshaker/MGM).

The John Butler Trio stayed on top of the albums released on independent labels through independent distribution chart with their new LP Flesh & Blood (Jarrah/MGM), while The Jezabels held onto second with The Brink (Independent/MGM).

Adelaide MC Delta made an impressive debut this week - his new record Pyramid Schemes (Nuffsaid Records/Obese Records) nabbed fifth in the chart.

A new, boutique festival has been confirmed for Brisbane. Mojo Burning will hit the Fortitude Valley region next month, with The Fumes, Transvaal Diamond Syndicate and La Bastard all set to perform. More.
