Days after teasing its inaugural event and subsequently unveiling its first headliner, nascent EDM festival Hypersonic has dropped the full line-up for its debut events.

Alongside already-announced Dutch DJ and producer Armin van Burren, the topline includes a veritable who’s-who of the world of EDM, including Swedish producer Alesso, Australia’s own MaRLo, iconic partystarter Steve Aoki, Drumcode heavyweight Adam Beyer, and unstoppable techno champion blk..

It doesn’t end there though, because the line-up also includes the likes of Aaron Hibell in an Australian debut, John O’Callaghan, Charlie Sparks, Andrew Rayel, KAAZE, Laura Van Dam, and more still. Along the way, the event will be guided by Tomorrowland mainstay MC Stretch.

The massive list of artists will all be making their way to Sydney Showgrounds on Saturday, November 29th, and appearing the following day at Melbourne Showgrounds on Sunday, November 30th.

First teased last week, Hypersonic was hyped as another “multi-genre” music festival in Australia, with the supposed focus on EDM, according to posts shared on social media.

Speculation ramped up that the event was related to the beloved, dearly missed Stereosonic Music Festival. This speculation proved correct, with producers Symbiotic being led by CEO Richie McNeill who is also known as the co-founder of both Hardware and Stereosonic.

“Bringing all things hyper together, the visual of Hyperdome, the spirit of Hyperave and the origins of Stereo musically, we’re super excited to bring a celebration of life, the start of summer, the rite of passage we’ve missed whilst showcasing the best in electronic music now and for the future,” McNeill said in a statement.

“We want fans in 10 years time to say ‘Hey, I was at the very first Hypersonic’, with pride. It’s a festival for the people.”

“There's nothing like going from stage to stage, discovering new music and seeing your all-time favourite artists in a festival atmosphere,” adds Symbiotic co-director Janette Bishara. “We are bringing back the vibe people have been begging for.

“That fun, with friends, party antics, end of the year release. Forget everything for a day, and enjoy the moment. Life is too short. This is a whole new experience and is set to be the event of the year. We’re proud to see the Hyper family evolve, and Hypersonic is our boldest step yet.”

Tickets to Hypersonic’s debut edition are on sale this week. Currently, pre-purchase tickets are on offer until 11:59pm on Wednesday, August 20th. Presale tickets will then go on sale from 12pm on Thursday, August 21st and run for 24 hours until the general on-sale time of 12pm on Friday, August 22nd.
