It's not all over yet.
After launching the City of Sydney-led pilot program Amplify late last year, the Live Music Office are now calling on businesses in inner Sydney to be a part of the second round of the initiative which aims to put more live music in venues.
The first round proved to be a huge success for eight Sydney venues which engaged in a 12-week program with Amplify Coordinator Clayton Ries, who consulted with owners on production, staging, ticketing, talent booking, audience development and more.
"It's been fantastic working with these venues and seeing them make changes that deliver value to both their business and their patrons," Ries said.
Balmain's Sir William Wallace Hotel was just one of the venues who participated in the first round of the Amplify program and it now presents live music every Saturday evening.

"Live music at the Wally adds a bit of excitement to the weekend," owner and general manager Gary Cowan said.
"It adds warmth to the pub, it gives punters something to talk about before and after the event, it makes the pub more interesting and it gives it a bit more depth."
