Hayley Williams is continuing the community-based rollout of her latest solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, by announcing listening parties to take place across the globe—including Australia.
Putting a spin on the traditional “Emo Nite” celebrations, the listening parties are called Ego Nite and will occur on Wednesday, 5 November. Williams, recognised as the singer of Paramore and a critically acclaimed solo artist, announced the listening parties via the HW HQ Instagram account – the official headquarters of everything to do with Williams’ solo career.
Fans will get to experience the full album (plus unreleased tracks), pick up free exclusive Ego Nite posters, tote bags, and wristbands, enter a competition to win an exclusive CD of the album signed by Williams, and pick up a physical copy of the album before its physical release date of Friday, 7 November.
In Australia, the Ego Nite celebrations will take place at Melbourne’s Happy Valley Shop and Sydney’s HUM Records. In New Zealand, the events will happen at Auckland’s Southbound, Christchurch’s Pennylane, Dunedin’s Relics, and Wellington’s Slowboat.

In August, Williams shared 17 unsequenced singles via her Good Dye Young haircare brand’s website, allowing fans to download and share the tracks for free. Following the songs’ release, fans made their own track listings and created the website hayleysingles.com, where thousands of devotees shared their preferred album order.
Williams then formatted the songs, plus an additional heartbreaker called Parachute, and released them as an official album called Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. The album is currently available for physical pre-order ahead of its release on Friday, 7 November.
Williams wrote, played, and recorded numerous instruments across the album’s tracks. The record was produced by Daniel James, with additional production from Jim-E Stack and contributions from longtime Paramore collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard.
Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party arrived after Williams spent over 20 years fulfilling a contract with Atlantic Records—an agreement she signed as a teen.
In December 2023, Paramore revealed that they’d gone independent after releasing their sixth album, This Is Why, and Williams’ latest record is the first to be self-released through her venture, Post Atlantic, with distribution from Secretly Distribution.
The album marks the third collection Williams has released as a solo artist. In 2020, she released Petals For Armor, and in 2021, she followed it up with the tender Flowers For Vases.
