Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams returned with a surprise collection of 17 singles today (1 August), dropping every track on streaming services.
Last week, the Decode singer mailed a CD featuring a new solo song, Mirtazapine, to the Nashville-based public radio station, WNXP.
The song premiered live during a session on WNXP and showcases Williams embracing the grunge and alternative rock music of the ‘90s, with listeners comparing the track to Hole, Garbage, and Melissa Auf der Maur.
The song has now been officially released, along with 16 others. The songs contain elements of the alternative rock music present in the ‘90s, as well as experimental, electronic-focused influences, balladry, and more.
Earlier this week, fans who bought the latest product from Williams’ hair-dye company, Good Dye Young, were able to download the new collection of singles. After two days, the website closed for downloads.
Produced by collaborator Daniel James, Williams wrote, played and recorded a variety of instruments across each of the 17 songs, with Paramore touring members Joey Howard and Brian Robert Jones offering contributions. Highlight True Believer also stars Jim-E Stack, who produced Lorde’s latest album, Virgin.

Williams’ singles collection arrives after the singer spent over 20 years fulfilling a contract with Atlantic Records—an agreement she signed as a teen. In December 2023, Paramore revealed that they’d gone independent, and Williams’ new surprise singles collection is the first to be self-released on her latest venture, Post Atlantic, with distribution from Secretly Distribution.
The surprise singles collection marks the third batch of work Williams has released as a solo artist. In 2020, she released Petals For Armor, and in 2021, she followed it up with the tender Flowers For Vases.
Last week, Paramore celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album, All We Know Is Falling, with a deluxe edition appearing online.
Written, recorded, and released while the band were still teenagers, the album contains hit singles such as Emergency and Pressure and fan-favourite tracks such as Conspiracy and Here We Go Again.
Now, when fans listen to the album on streaming services, they’ll also get to hear the first-ever digital release of The Summer Tic EP, which was a CD-only release in 2006.
All We Know Is Falling was the first album to be released through Paramore’s longstanding contract with Atlantic Records – via Fueled by Ramen – which the band finished following the release of 2023’s This Is Why.
