Naarm/Melbourne is welcoming a new music festival to its schedule, with the inaugural Gateway Festival getting reading to debut at the Heide Museum of Modern Art.
Situated at the Heide’s Sculpture Park, the one-day festival boasts an international and local music line up across three stages, bringing together the best elements of European festivals to Melbourne while celebrating the city’s rich history of music, art, food, and landscapes.
Kicking off on Saturday, December 7th, the lineup includes prolific New York house producer and DJ Jovonn who will unveil his world premiere live/hybrid set at Gateway Festival, and Welsh-born DJ and producer Harrison BDP who brings his distinctive blend of deep house, dub techno, and minimal beats.
Alongside French/Korean outfit S.O.N.S, England's Oldboy, Berlin's E.Lina, and France's Blu:sh round out the international artists on the bill. Meanwhile, a stellar roster of local talent also joins the festivities, including Aldonna, Osmosis Jones, Yarra, DJ Luv You, Bria, and Folly Hifi.

“We were keen to work with Heide from the beginning due to its prime location 20 minutes from the CBD and its unique space, which has never hosted an event like this before.
“Heide is an iconic art institution on 16 acres of heritage listed gardens which we’re keen to spotlight, in addition to innovative light installations and stage creations,” he adds.
Alongside the musical lineup, Gateway Festival also welcomes a strong roster of homegrown food vendors, including Mabu Mabu, We Eatin’ Good x Shop Bao Ngoc and Heide Kitchen.
Tickets to Gateway Festival are on sale now.
