"Flicker flicker fade/Destroy what you"- oh wait, wrong song.

Prior to their set at Invasion Fest over this past weekend, Melbourne's Harbours dropped a new single by the name of 'Flicker And Fade'.

First off, I'm mighty sure that this new tune will come off their next EP or debut album and will not just be a standalone single. But as for what this new song gives you, it's basically more Harbours; from the intro guitar riff to the vocal melodies, chorus, and overall song structure, this is Harbours right down to the T.

However, from the 2:30 mark onwards, the group really shows off their heavier side and go from their usual alternative/pop-punk style into a more punk realm. And I just can't help but wish that the entire song was like that. However, is that final section better because it's heavier and more aggressive than the two and a half minutes that precede it and without that juxtaposition, it would not be as effective? Just something to ponder over...

Either way, this is a pretty decent tune all up, and you can stream it below.

However, if you want the real 'Flicker Fade', that real McCoy shit, then see below for Taking Back Sunday's wondrous 2014 single, 'Flicker Fade'. Utter banger.
