In Bunbury, GTM is working with local sporting teams, arts organisations and talented community groups and businesses make an unforgettable festival.
In the words of co-promoter Stephen Halpin, "Groovin The Moo has always put considerable significance in engaging in various community programs around the country."
The short and sweet of which is that when GTM hits your town it's not just passing through. In Bunbury, GTM is working with local sporting teams, arts organisations and talented community groups and businesses make an unforgettable festival. For starters they're teaming up with Central Institute of Technology, Newtown Moore Girls Academy, Hyperspace and Bunbury Catholic College to run Short Internship Placements and a Work Experience Program For Youth — a chance for local students to get hands-on experience with industry professionals.
The festival also supports local art — the Sister City Arts Program will work with local talents Dee Mosca and Charlotte White to mentor 12 young artists, and Stirling Street Arts Centre are gathering more of the same to push their creative abilities for the festival's national Scrim Art Project.
Bunbury's Roller Derby Team and Exies Hockey Club will there too, working with GTM to raise funds for their respective teams. Even Otherside Beer & OtherCider have signed up to make sure you've got something quality to sip on.
