It’s official: George Sheppard, the vocalist for the popular Australian family musical group, Sheppard, is married to physiotherapist Kathleen Seagar after popping the question in May 2021.

“Today we have the privilege of standing beside our brother George Sheppard and his beautiful bride Kathleen Seagar as they FINALLY tie the knot. Couldn’t be more proud and excited to return all the favours as bridesmaid,” Amy Sheppard posted on social media with a series of photos celebrating, as Seagar puts it, “Wedding week, day one”.

Seagar has also posted a series of happy photos to Instagram in a slide show of family and friends honouring the happy couple.

To celebrate his marriage, George Sheppard has also released his debut solo single, Feels Like Home. The band wrote this morning, “A beautiful love letter to his brand new wife Kathleen, Feels Like Home is the debut solo single from our very own George Sheppard,” which you can listen to here. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Earlier this year, Sheppard released Good Time, their first new single in two years - a sun-filled 'good time' pop-bop that will have you dancing in your kitchen and itching to book a summer holiday.

Sheppard released their third studio album, Kaleidoscope Eyes, in February 2021. Since then, they have also released the singles The Reasons Why (November 2021, following Amy and Lachlan Stuart's wedding) and a Christmas single, Christmas Without You, also in November 2021.

Amy Sheppard stepped out on her own in May last year, embarking on a solo career with her debut solo single, Nothing But Wild.

The track received a huge launch at Tamworth Country Music Festival last April, which Amy chronicled via a video diary.

Speaking with The Music after the massive event, she said, "Releasing my first solo single has been one of the most exciting and daunting things I've ever done, but one I am so proud of.

"Nothing But Wild is just the start of this adventure, and I wanted to capture every moment of release week, and there was no better place to launch than in the heart of Australian country music!" Check out the premiere here.
