On Saturday, May 17th, Garage Band Tarntanya officially kicks off in Adelaide. Across three stages at the Festival Plaza, fourteen bands consisting of dedicated young musicians (all between the ages of 13 and 21) will be rocking the house down.
The official line-up for the free all-ages mini-festival - a full-blown celebration of youth culture, local talent, and creative energy - has just been released, and it is eclectic and exciting.
What better way to spend your Saturday than supporting young, up-and-coming local artists?

Ammonite

Ammonite is an Alternative Rock band, inspired by a range of Rock and Grunge music, and Aussie Punk. This all-girl band is looking forward to the opportunity to connect with more young people and share their love of performing.
Ammonite is made up of Angeline (vocals/guitar), Eadie (bass guitar), Scarlett (drums) and Lily (guitar).
Breakouts
Breakouts combine Punk and Hard Rock taking inspiration from the 90s rock movement. Their performances are filled with attitude and seriousness, creating a hard rock atmosphere.
Breakouts is made up of Lane (bass guitar), Tim (guitar), Jesse (guitar) and Evan (drums).
Emerauld
Emerauld blends emotion and intensity to create her uniquely bold, introspective and angsty music. She’s performed at Scouted, Indiefest, WOMAD 2025 and more. She’s excited to share her music at Garageband and connect with other creatives.
Emerauld/Emilie (vocals/guitar) is accompanied by Tim (drums), Isaac (guitar) and Bailey (bass).
Enter the Bone Zone
Enter the Bone Zone are an Indie J-Rock band from Adelaide. Built on friendship and a shared passion for music they are eager to build their music through Garageband and connect with more music lovers.
Enter the Bone Zone consists of Brad (bass/guitar), James (guitar), Abhay (guitar), Ryan (drums) and Ciara (vocals/bass).
Exit Plan
Exit Plan are an Indie Rock band coming from Murray Bridge. Their eclectic and groovy sound is inspired by Silverchair and other Australian Alternative music.
Exit Plan includes Seth (guitar), Cooper (drums), Jayden (guitar) and Nick (bass guitar).
Fridge Junkies
Fridge Junkies are a rural South Australian Rock band with a love for 90s Aussie Rock. They’ve been playing together for four years and are looking forward to bringing their energetic guitar solos to Adelaide.
Fridge Junkies is made up of Liam (drums), Mack (guitar/vocals) and Nick (guitar/vocals).
Halo Tides
Halo-Tides combine Dream Pop, Indie Rock and Post-Punk creating unique ambient music. They are inspired by Native American, Korean, Japanese music and Aboriginal identity.
Halo-Tides consists of Tyrell (vocals/guitar), Dylan (rhythm guitar/ vocals), Madeleine (bass guitar) and Tobi (drums).
Just Thinking
Just Thinking are an innovative indie band based in Adelaide.
Just Thinking is made up of Tom (drums), Alyssa (bass guitar), Max (piano/keys), Jett (electric guitar) and Zara (vocals/guitar).
Lonely Empire
Lonely Empire is a dynamic Metal and Punk band from Adelaide. They create passionate, heavy and energetic music that blends elements from across alternative genres.
Lonely Empire is made up of Lucas (vocals/guitar), Noah (drums), Sam (bass guitar) and Con (guitar).
Pearly Stars
Pearly Stars are an Alternative Rock band inspired by artists like Wet Leg, Phoebe Bridgers, Weezer, and Pavement.
Pearly Stars is made up of Claudia (bass/vocals), Cormac (drums), and Felix (guitar).
Salty Sisters
Salty Sisters are an all-girl Indie-surf band. Their music in inspired by Reggae and Australian Alt-Rock and are looking forward to performing at this inclusive event.
Salty Sisters includes Jura (drums), Isabelle (guitar/vocals), Jessica (guitar) and Matilda (bass guitar).
Show & Tell
Show & Tell are a four-piece Rock band from Adelaide that have played at TheGov, Neo at AGSA and Broadcast Bar. Although distinctly a Rock band they take some inspiration from Funk, Blues and Metal.
Show & Tell includes Ashton (vocals/guitar), Myles (drums/vocals) Cameron (guitar) and Max (bass guitar).
Tacenda
Tacenda are a Metal and Alternative Rock band from Adelaide. With a passion for music they fuse Heavy Metal, Alt-Rock and a bit of Indie for a fresh sound.
Tacenda includes Ash (bass guitar), Jess (guitar), Riley (drums) and Blake (guitar).
Take Me Time Machine
Take Me Time Machine are a Pop Punk band that fuses elements from Rock, Jazz, Pop and Metal.
Take Me Time Machine consists of Jaydn (vocals/guitar), Ryan (bass guitar/vocals), Jack (guitar) and Aidan (drums).
