"And that was his way of getting me to leave him alone."

If you're gonna sneak into Trent Reznor's house party, you may as well make the most of it.

On a new episode of The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast, Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett recalled crashing a party the Nine Inch Nails frontman threw in the '90s where he got to meet a personal hero from none other than AC/DC.

"Somehow we heard that there was a party at Trent Reznor's house and I didn't know Trent Reznor. I didn't know anyone that knew Trent Reznor," Shiflett told podcast host Neil Griffiths.

"Somehow, we snuck into a party at Trent Reznor's house. We were wasted out of our minds.

"I remember Malcolm and Angus Young were at that party and I went up to Malcolm Young and just, like, slobbered all over him for too long.

"Eventually he looked at me and said, 'Angus is over there'. And that was his way of getting me to leave him alone."

Shiflett spoke of another run-in with the iconic rockers years later while on tour with Foo Fighters.

"I remember one time early on being in the Foo Fighters, we were on tour...[AC/DC] were on tour at the same time and we were sort of criss-crossing," he said.

"We had a night off and they were playing in, I feel like it was Montreal. I'll never forget, I went down into the bar to get a drink or something and there was nobody in the bar at the hotel and I look over and there's fucking Malcolm and Angus... we were like the only people in the bar.

"They looked at me with a look on their face that was like, 'You're not gonna fucking bother us right now, right bro?'

"And I understood the look and I just left them alone and I walked right out. That was, like, my personal gift to AC/DC."

Foo Fighters are gearing up for the release of their tenth studio album, Medicine At Midnight, in February while AC/DC's first album since 2014, Power Up, is out today.
