EXCLUSIVE: The Matches Unleash Acoustic Hits Backstage In Perth

It’s been a long time between drinks for fans of LA alt-punk rockers The Matches, so their long-awaited return to Australia was welcome news.

After going on hiatus in 2009, the band reformed last year to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their smashing debut record, E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals.

They’ve brought the celebrations to Australia, playing the album in full alongside other hits at five shows with their original line-up, and frontman Shawn Harris and guitarist Jon Devoto treated a handful of lucky fans to some acoustic tracks backstage in Perth for theMusic Sessions before the tour’s first show.
