First Australian dates since their '09 hiatus

It was in 2009 that LA alt-punk rockers The Matches receded into the shadows for an indefinite hiatus, but with the 10-year anniversary of their debut record, they’ve reformed, and are heading to Australia early next year.

The band’s original line-up are headed our way in January for a tour that will see their debut LP, E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals, played in its entirety, alongside other hits.

Frontman Shawn Harris is no stranger to Australian shores, having spent some time during the hiatus working on one of his other projects, Maniac, with Something With Numbers vocalist Jake Grigg.

The tour kicks off Friday 9 January at Amplifer Bar in Perth before taking on the rest of the country.
