Out tomorrow, stream today
Melbourne-based Jess Cornelius is back with another entrancing collection of songs with Grids, the latest album by Teeth & Tongue.
Out tomorrow through Dot Dash/Remote Control, we're happy to be able to provide a pre-release full album stream of the album here.
In a recent interview the band's Jess Cornelius told us that the recording process Grids, ““was the same kind of slow track-laid process that I'd used for [previous record] Tambourine and I swore I'd never do again.”
She added, “I think because it's not four or five people going into the studio or a rehearsal room and arranging the songs... There's a lot of variation there and I think that the reason it's a lot more tied together has a lot to do with AJ [Bradford] and his production approach. We did talk about trying to create some kind of consistency, so I think we were quite aware of that when we were working.”

In our album review we said, “From the very first breathy pout on Good Man, Cornelius captivates. With an almost theatre-like backed soaring vocal underpinned by thin key notes that are soon turned on their heads by that space-filling drum beat, it's the perfect first page to an incredible story… Grids is an album to be appreciated for its ability to present entrancing music by deceptively simple means.”
So what the hell are you waiting for?
