Could it finally be time for The Sleepy Jackson to release a new album? According frontman Luke Steele it's certainly getting close.
Speaking with The Music writer Bryget Chrisfield, the band — who haven't released an album since 2006's Personality – One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird — have been back in the studio and working on a "pretty amazing new record."
"This last year or two we went in with [drummer] Malcolm Clarke and Ben Witt [The Chemist] and we tracked a lot of the new album, but, you know, there was just something that wasn't working," explains Steele.

"So it's back in the drawing-board room and just gonna have to wait for a little bit of injection of fire to get back onto that, but it's a pretty amazing new record."
Steele's latest project, DREAMS — his collaboration with Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns — is just about to drop its debut album, No One Defeats Us, next month.
