“In a big way, RTRFM was responsible for that paradigm shift in my thinking that I can do this."
With Jason Cleary stepping down from RTRFM, Perth legend and Eskimo Joe guitarist Stuart MacLeod has been announced as the station’s new General manager.
No stranger to the radio scene, the once 96FM presenter’s relationship with the station began in the late ‘90s, when RTRFM was the first station to play his band’s tunes.
“In a big way, RTRFM was responsible for that paradigm shift in my thinking that I can do this,” MacLeod said.
“This station has provided so many new and emerging artists with not only a platform to present their art, but also the confidence to back themselves. It's really important to have that support when you're starting out.”
