The WA station is now looking for someone to fill the role.

RTRFM has announced that general manager Jason Cleary will step down from his role at the Perth community station before the end of the year.

After establishing a solid foundation at the Mount Lawley-based station over the past three-and-a-half year, Cleary’s resignation will see him take up an exciting business opportunity outside the music industry and focus on his young family.

“There are many challenges facing radio in the future, but I believe RTRFM is well placed to weather whatever is thrown at it, due to the dedication and talents of all the people involved. I will certainly still be involved in the station wherever I can,” Cleary said

“This has been an extremely difficult decision, but I believe the right one at this time. I thank everyone who has been part of this journey with me.”
