28 March 2017 | 5:26 pm | Staff Writer

The dub/reggae/psych ensemble will hit the road for eight weeks from this weekend

Self-described 'astronaut reggae' group Hemingway have a new single, Mystic Kingdom, to show off, and they'll be doing exactly that on an epic eight-week run of shows kicking off from this weekend.

With their first spot of the tour coming this Saturday, 1 April, at Scarborough Originals in Redcliffe, the dub/psych/reggae crew will head through Brisbane, Kippenduff (Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival), Broadbeach (Sounds Of Sunday festival), Maroochydore (with Caravana Sun), Brissy again (for Stones Corner Festival), Warrnambool, Rye, Fitzroy, Belgrave, Gold Coast, Bellingen, Yamba, Manly and Port Macquarie, where they wrap up at a show with Boo Seeka on 4 June, at The Basement.

Mystic Kingdom is the title track from the band's upcoming EP, which is due to land later in the year. It'll follow on from 2015's debut effort, Carnival Of Freaks, and further assert Hemingway's position as a reggae act to watch intently as they continue to grow both on-stage and in the studio.

They haven't yet released the title track for public consumption, but you can whet your appetite with recent single Soulfood below instead.
